Egyptian Goose (African Grey Goose)

The Egyptian Goose is a species of wild goose native to Northeastern Africa, especially around the Nile River. It has distinctive greyish-brown plumage, a white face with dark markings around the eyes, and a characteristic dark line running from the eyes to the back of the head. It is sometimes domesticated and kept in ornamental settings, leading to confusion with the name "African Grey Goose."

Ancient Egypt (circa 3000 BCE): Evidence of the Egyptian Goose's significance can be found in artifacts and artwork from as far back as 3000 BCE, making it one of the oldest bird species to be depicted in Egyptian culture. It was domesticated in ancient times, as there are records of its presence in ancient Egyptian households and gardens.​

Chinese Geese

​Chinese Geese are a breed of domestic goose (Anser anser domesticus) that are thought to have originated in China and are known for their distinctive appearance, strong characteristics, and historical significance. They are one of the oldest and most well-known domesticated goose breeds in the world.

The Chinese Goose is believed to have originated in China, and there are historical references to its existence as far back as the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD).

Silkie

The Silkie bird (often referred to as the Silkie chicken) is a unique and distinctive breed of domestic chicken known for its silky, soft plumage, which feels like fur rather than feathers. The Silkie is prized for its unusual appearance and friendly temperament, making it popular as both a pet and ornamental bird in poultry farming.​

The Silkie chicken is believed to have originated in China, and there are references to chickens with similar characteristics in ancient Chinese records. Some historians suggest that the breed might have been kept by the Chinese as early as 2000 BCE.
